Who I am

My name is Ariff Azman, a Software Engineer graduate turned DevOps Engineer for a decade, a role usually related to be “Jack of all trades” .

My gamer handle is called opsedar and I use it interchangeably with opariffazman. Both respectively represent casual and professional setting of my persona.

The op in the front does not stands for overpowered contrary to popular belief.

Back in the day

As a a heavy tinkerer, I never stopped just playing video games. I always break it apart, reverse engineering them. Sometimes a bit too much where I’ve spent 600 hours on Red Dead Redemption II on PC, just modding the heck out of it.

Aside from that, I published mods for The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, State Of Decay 2, Fallout 4 and Project Zomboid.

• On Nexus Mods 11 mods combined with almost half a million downloads.
• On Steam 31 Workshop items with around 300k downloads.

What now

What kind of dumb person to quit a stable 5 figure remote job?

This guy making a game with a working title called d20: a fantasy RPG with his own opinionated take on modern turn-based combat.

I would love to actually finish and ship it with a fun and hopefully a unique gameplay experience derived from recent trends combined with my own take as both gamer and modder.

This devlog I’m writing serves both as the digital footprint or as living proof of my progress to document everything so I can go back in time for self reflection I guess?
